Casala was founded in the Lower-Saxony piece of land Lauenau in 1917. There the company leads the Casala Meubelen in the Netherlands, Culemborg, with offices and a showroom.
Casala – named after the founder and home town (Carl Sasse Lauenau) initially produced wooden shoe soles since 1917. After the First World War, the company initially expanded its assortment from wood to metal and upholstery furniture. The company became especially popular by school furniture in the 50ies.
Despite the change of owner, the new Casala remained the same. The owner felt tightly close to the company for more than thirty years. Distributers, mainly from Germany, are still the same and the technical and ergonomic know-how of the traditional Casala are unchanged.
Casala produces modern object furniture with high durability today. Thereby fast handcraft, flexible utility and technical innovation are focused. Ninety years of experience in furniture production ensure pretty chairs that are comfortable. Casala furniture is available in more than 20 countries all over the world.
