Porcelain jug in iconic ripple design
With the Lyngby Tura Jug Vase from Lyngby Porcelæn , the world-famous porcelain series from Denmark now grows by one jug. With the help of the handle and the spout, water can be portioned comfortably and stylishly - but it also cuts an excellent figure as a flower vase or as an independent decorative element. It was created by the Danish designer Philip Bro Ludvigsen, whose design is based on the curved, organically feminine design language.
Classic porcelain handicraft from Denmark
The grooved Lyngby look became an absolute design icon in the 1930s and is still highly valued today by design lovers and collectors for its simple elegance. Together with other designs, the porcelain vase marks the beginning of a new design era inspired by the Bauhaus movement and influenced by the functionalism that began at that time.
In 2012, the Lyngby Porcelæn brand was relaunched and production of the popular Lyngby vase resumed after Lyngby had to close its doors in 1969. With the greatest possible care and respect for the special history, the vases are today handmade in Denmark according to the original specifications.
