The bean-like shapes in the new Marimekko pattern represent seeds that grow into magnificent, strong flowers. They symbolize a new beginning, as spring is, hence the name Alku - in Finnish "beginning". The pattern is printed in Helsinki.
Because Marimekko cushion covers are sewn across the entire width of the fabric, their appearance may vary slightly. Each article is unique.
