The espresso machine 9090 from the designer Richard Sapper was the first espresso machine from Alessi and is a classic of the Italian company.
The espresso machine is made of 18/10 stainless steel and possesses a magnetic floor. Its handle is made of cast aluminium. The espresso machine 9090 is not only a practical kitchen item, but can also find its place directly on the coffee table because of its high-quality design.
With the espresso machine 9090, Alessi was awarded the Compasso D'Oro design prize for the first time in the company's history in the year 1979. Furthermore, the 9090 was the very first object by Alessi that included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
