Mug with handle made of stoneware with brush design
The Oiva Pyykki mug with handle from the Finnish house Marimekko convinces with its brush design. The mug is made of white stoneware and is dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer safe. Please remove the sticker on the bottom of the cup before use, because it contains a small amount of metal.
Summer paper brush design
Pyykki (in German: Wäsche) evokes summer feelings. The pattern is reminiscent of freshly washed laundry fluttering in the wind outside. Jenni Tuomien was inspired by the aesthetics of the laundry tag and drew the shapes of the pattern on a piece of paper, cut them out, painted them with opaque paint and let a rhythmic pattern emerge. Delicate brushstrokes are paired with the technique of cutting paper.
