Placemat made of acrylic coated cotton
The Alku placemat by Marimekko features the Alku pattern designed by Maija Louekari. The bean-like shapes in the new Marimekko pattern represent seeds that grow into magnificent, bold flowers. They symbolize a new beginning, as spring is, hence the name Alku - "beginning" in Finnish.
Made of acrylic-coated cotton, the placemat is stain-resistant and therefore easy to clean with a damp cloth.
