Tablecloth with fairy tale motifs by Andersen
The H.C. Andersen tablecloth by Georg Jensen Damask creates a fairytale appearance and makes every table setting a special eye-catcher. The 100% cotton tablecloth is decorated with various motifs from the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen.
In addition to poetry, Andersen also had a talent for making silhouettes. In the 1920s, architect and designer Knud V. Engelhardt created his first designs with Andersen papercuts. After his death in 1931 Inger M. Blegvad Klint devoted himself to papercuts. The designs also found favour with the Danish royal family and were ordered by Queen Ingrid. Since then, the H-C. Andersen silhouette design with new weaving techniques continuously adapted and developed to make the pattern always appear contemporary.
Matching the tablecloth in timeless silver-grey, the table sets with the popular Andersen motifs are also available. The tablecloth can be cleaned in the normal wash cycle at 60°C.
