Plate in Bright Shades of Yellow
The Oiva Sääpäiväkirja platter by Marimekko is a creation resulting from the cooperation between the Finnish designers Aino-Maija Metsola and Sami Ruotsalainen. The result is a dish made of stoneware by Ruotsalainen, which convinces with a pattern in yellow tones by Metsola.
Inspired by the Finnish Summer
The two designers were inspired by nature in Finland. The almost watercolour-like yellow embodies the wind sweeping through the trees, the rustling reeds, the misty archipelagos and the golden grass of Finnish summer.
The platter 15 x 12 cm is made of glazed stoneware and can go in the freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
