Siirtolapuutarha is the name of the collection, which includes the Marimekko plate. The Finnish word means as much as "small garden" and it describes the colourful mix of the included products.
The origin of the Marimekko Oiva Siirtolapuutarha plate is as well colourful: The iconic Siirtolapuutarha pattern was developed by Maija Louekari, while Sami Routsalainen created the shape of the plate.
The diameter of 25 cm makes the Oiva Siirtolapuutarha plate suitable for different meals. Marimekko produces the Siirtolapuutarha plates out of stoneware.
