A piece of hidden magic in daily life
Iittala's cutlery series Taika is magical and awakes memories, which were forgotten a long time ago.
The very decorative design of the service-collection was designed by Klaus Haapaniemi. Originally the design should decorate the Iittala-Series Aika by Heikki Orvola, but the Finnish manufacturer was so impressed of the result that he decided to launch a new cutlery series.
Iittala Taika: mythical and colourful
The colourful style of the Taika-series surprises the ones, for whom Iittala is the embodiment of traditional, Nordic functionality and plain design.
And Taika is actually different: When I was a child, I loved to watch the little mole of the technical drawer Zdeněk Miler and many other East-European and Russian animation movies. I still like this handmade style of these animations. This handmade-style is also visible in the design of the Taika-series.
Taika offers a whole new facet to the usual Iittala assortment, but considers the Iittala usual Mix & Match principle, which stands for a total combinability of all Iittala- products.
The Taika-cutlery is made of high quality porcelain and it is microwave-safe, anti-freezing, oven- and dishwasher safe.
