Description

The strikingly minimalistic austerity of Naoto Fukasawa once again receives a new means of expression in the Alessi product range – with

the Cha, which is a kettle and a teapot at the same time. The lid of the Alessi Cha can be easily but firmly inserted into the corpus of the kettle or teapot in order to remain closed while it is used.

The flexible handle of the Cha is fixed at the corpus in such a way that it locks in the vertical position when the object is lifted, making it easier to pour. The handle of Cha is close to the corpus, which means that the multi-functional teapot saves space in storage when it isn't used.

The large integrated filter transforms "Cha" – the name is Japanese for

"tea" – into a refined object to serve drinks.

Alessi Cha by Naoto Fukasawa: expressive purism
The welded spout has another filter, which catches tea leaves that may fall out from the inner filter.

Thanks to this structural detail, the pot can also be used without filters, with the tea leaves placed directly in the corpus. The seemingly simple shape hides how thoroughly the designer concentrated on the details of his project, which is typical for the expressive purist Naoto Fukasawa: elegant, simple and still well thought out to the tiniest detail. Cha is made of 18/10 stainless steel with a lid knob of thermoplastic resin to protect the hands from heat. The modern teapot has a capacity of 900 ml.The base of the Cha kettle / teapot made of magnet steel is suitable for heat sources of all kinds, including induction stoves.

Small, noble, simply beautiful

As a kettle, for the daily, it's a little small. But as a teapot and for the eyes a pleasure. Cleanly processed and well thought out. The handle can be folded down for infestation, with or without using the tea strainer. Clear recommendation for tea lovers.

Already a classic

Already a classic of this kettle from Alessi and suitable for all types of cookers. Also practical is the stainless steel strainer that fits exactly into the jug. The bracket and lid knob could, however, be made of a higher quality material. Because of the beautiful design but still full score.

Beautiful teapot, it is relatively heavy and very high quality processed. In contrast to other jugs, this one luckily doesn't drip a bit when you pour it out!

I can highly recommend this pot. It goes perfectly with the black Stelton teapot. The hanging sieve for the tea leaves is particularly practical.

Perfect for gas or induction cookers

A feast for the eyes! Probably the most beautiful kettle I've ever seen. However quite small and therefore not suitable for my Ceranfeld. Even the smallest hob was considerably larger than the kettle. However, this should not be a problem with gas or induction. This is a kettle for tea drinkers with leisure. The workmanship makes a very good impression. Stay open: How do you clean the kettle of the unavoidable tar residues inside? With glass cans I take a chlorine cleaner from time to time. I wouldn't do that here, since metal seems more sensitive to me than glass. Besides, how hot does the kettle get when you heat it up on the stove? And last but not least: How high can you fill the kettle so that nothing splashes out when the water boils? Otherwise: A dream in high gloss. Japanese design from its finest side!

It's a matter of taste, I think the teapot is very fluffy, just looks like something else.
