Tea Set by Walter Gropius
The tea set by Rosenthal is part of the TAC tableware series and was exclusively designed in 1969 for Rosenthal by Walter Gropius, the founder of the Bauhaus. The porcelain set consists of a 0.6 l teapot, 2 tea cups, 2 saucers and 2 spoons.
Circle and Ball as Defining Elements
Gropius built on the simplest geometrical forms.
In accordance with his preference, the circle and the ball remain the defining elements for the TAC Gropuis tea set. The TAC coffee set is the result of a close-knit cooperation between the Rosenthal Creative Centre and the Bauhaus Foundation in Dessau. That professional cooperation made it possible to expand the programme so that it matched the great creative ability of the Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius.
The TAC tea set by Rosenthal is made from porcelain in various colours and is available in a decorative gift box.
