Tray with Polar Fox
The Oiva Svaale plate by Marimekko belongs to the same name collection, whose pattern was designed by Sanna Annukka. For the pattern, the designer chose the arctic fox as the leading motif. For the abstract representation, Annukka was inspired by Eastern European embroideries, in which animals are often depicted in a very abstract way. The arctic fox is a common motif of Nordic mythology and is deeply rooted in Finland.
Made of Birch Plywood with High Edges
The rectangular tray is made of laminated birch plywood and is decorated with the folkloristic pattern of the arctic fox. The raised edge ensures that nothing can slip off the tray during transport. It is great as a serving tray on the dining table or in the kitchen and also serves as a decorative base for vases, books or bowls. The tray measures 43 x 22 cm and can be easily wiped off with a damp cloth.
