Mobile - an Abstract Interaction
The Counterpoint mobile was designed by the family company Flensted Mobiles by Ole, Christine Kit and Aase Flensted. The musical term 'counterpoint' is defined as 'the combination of two or more independent melodies in a single piece of harmonious music, in which each keeps its linear character'. The mobile is symbolic of the family collaboration at Flensted Mobiles and symbolises the creative coexistence.
Mobiles embody the interplay between air, materials, colours and shapes in a unique way. Not just children are fascinated by this dynamic interaction; watching the gentle and sensual movements also has a calming effect on adults, and offers room to develop new ideas and express creativity.
The Counterpoint mobile is available in two versions - with black or coloured wooden beads.
