Description

As part of his thesis Christoph Böninger designed the world's first global laptop in 1982 which can be found among other things in the Neuen Sammlung der Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. The latest design of Böninger has the potential to become a classic as well.

The Bottle Box, made of the domestic timber oak and spruce, picks up the principal of the Universal Design and thereby interconnects different functions. This way, the Bottle Box can likewise be used as bottle shelf, stool or step stool. Furthermore, it obviously alignes itself with the iconic design of the Ulmer Stool which was designed by the Swiss architect and designer Max Bill for the HFG Ulm in 1954.

The subdivided compartments offer space for up to eight bottles so that the Bottle Box can be used comfortably as beverage crate and, thanks to the stable wooden handle, can be easily transported. Once turned over or upside-down, the box can be both table or stool. The perfect companion for a cosy picnic or barbecue event with friends.
