Artek - Kitchen and Bar chair K65

Alvar Aalto designed the kitchen chair K65 for the Finnish company Artek in the year 1937; it is still manufactured in its original form. Alvar Aalto's designs made their way around the world becoming well-known for everyone.

Like nearly every object that Alvar Aalto designed, the kitchen chair K65 possesses the characteristic and organic L-form. The specific L-leg was already designed and patented by Aalto in the year 1932. The bended birch veneer that make Aalto's furniture this special meant a revolution in its beginning; because the bending-technique that was invented by Aalto himself guarantees an unsurpassed stability.

The kitchen chair K65 consists of bright lacquered birch wood. The seat appears available in birch veneer or white lacquered laminate, in red or white linoleum or coated with cloth or leather. The chair is delivered unmounted!
