Eero Aarnio studied at the Art and Design School in Helsinki with Ilmari Tapiovaara as his teacher. At the beginning the 60es Aarnio experimented with new materials that allowed him whole forms of art and design. The first result was the legendary fiberglass Ball Chair with its unique form. Shortly after that he designed the Bubble Chair of crystal clear acrylic.
Rather unusual for Aarnio was then the Rocket bar stool, a later design, from the year 1995.
This high quality bar stool consists of oak wood and it is available in a soaped version, as well as black or white lacquered. The Rocket stool has a 73 cm height and a 44 cm diameter.
This stool is furthermore available in a smaller variant, as Baby Rocket stool with a height of 45 cm.
Available in different colours.
