Timeless Bench Made of Solid Ash Wood
Martin Visser designed the classic BZ bench in 1960-1961 at the request of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. The bench remained an integral part of the collection up until 1974. It was successfully reissued in 2010 with new versions of different sizes and materials.
The bench, made of solid, matt varnished ash wood, can be integrated into any environment thanks to its archetypal, straight-lined design. Thanks to its dimensions, it can be used for a number of different purposes: as a classic bench at the dining table, in the hallway as a seat to put shoes on, as a practical storage surface on which to put pictures or other items, in front of a wall or at the foot end of the bed. The function of this piece of furniture can be changed at any time and thus becomes a timeless companion.
Upon request, the bench is also available in other sizes, materials and colours, and with matching cushions.
