Cabinet with reed wickerwork elements
The Air wardrobe by Mathieu Gustafsson for Design House Stockholm is part of a series of storage furniture with unusual reed wicker elements. The designer with Swedish and French roots has succeeded with the Air wardrobe in creating a transparent and at the same time mysterious piece of furniture that blends timelessly and modernly into any ambience.
Air is a wardrobe made of an ordered, graphic frame construction in combination with walls made of a traditional reed weave, thus conveying a special feeling of lightness and transparency. The filigree base frame, which lifts the body of the cabinet, provides even more lightness.
Made of oak wood and reed wickerwork
The reed weave gives the cabinet a transparent surface, but also conveys a feeling of depth. Air acquires a unique personality through a blend of refined Scandinavian expression and a touch of French style and elegance. The use of reed is unexpected with this piece of furniture, but makes the design appear light and fresh. The Scandinavian design is redesigned by crossing the usual boundaries and makes the wardrobe an eye-catcher in the living area.
