Vitra presents a well-known piece with a fresh appeal: the Wire Chair DKW modernised with a wooden base and a dark seat.
The designer marriage Charles & Ray Eames already designed the maybe most famous of their chairs, the Plastic Side Chair for Vitra already in 1951. Vitra brought the classic piece to contemporaneity now: the popular wooden base and a seat in Basic Dark offer modern appeal to the DKW.
The new version Wire Chair DKW with the dark paint emphasizes the transparency of the seat out of steel wire, while the wooden base which is available in three maple wood editions, offers a homely character to the chair.
The Vitra Wire Chair DKW is also available in an edition with a cushion and an edition with seat and back cushions. The DKW is also available with plastic pads (for soft grounds such as carpets).
