Buy Furniture Online – Delivery Times, Returns and Exchanges

As a rule, delivering furniture often takes longer than delivering home accessories. It isn't possible to continuously stock sofas and beds for cost and space reasons. This means that we order the piece of furniture you have chosen from the manufacturer, who as the case may be, may have to first produce it. The delivery takes from two to ten weeks according to the piece of furniture and the manufacturer. We can often deliver small furniture from stock within one to two days.

Whether a piece of furniture is currently in stock as well as the current delivery time is always shown on the product pages. A piece of furniture can look different at home than it does in the pictures. This is the reason why we give you the possibility of returning them, as we also do for home accessories. The return period is four weeks. Naturally you receive a refund for returning your goods within this time period. As larger furniture is normally shipped by a delivery company the return costs are different to those for small parcels. You can find for information about returns and exchanges in our Help Topics

Suitable Furniture for your Home

It isn't so easy to find the right furniture for your home. It's not always a case of renovating meaning that your own four walls, wallpaper, flooring and existing furniture already restrict your choice. Which furniture suits which floor? Which chairs suit which chest of drawers? And which furniture is right for small, big or quirky rooms?

Firstly it is important to: Measure your room exactly and draw a plan. You will find exact measurements for every piece of our furniture so that you can put your room together piece by piece. Measure your existing furniture too and draw them it into your paper room Alternatively cut the furniture out of paper so that you can move it around. This method will quickly show you the ways you can position and combine furniture.

The room size is decisive. Variable shelves and shelving systems are suitable for small rooms for example from String. They create storage space and fill niches. Modular upholstered furniture like that from Muuto is flexible, from a two-seater to a seating arrangement. Small chairs without armrests are more suitable than armchairs. Bulky couch tables are completely superfluous, small side tables such as those by Normann Copenhagen are a stylish alternative. A workstation can be hidden in functional secretaires. They look like chests of drawers when closed so that the living room feeling isn't lost. The Müller Möbelwerkstätten is a master of saving space.

Large rooms have an inviting armchair as an eye-catcher. Large dining tables have space for chairs with armrests making them a central meeting point for family and friends. Cupboards can be swapped around with shelf units. Hostess trolleys and stools can be decoratively arranged with suitable living accessories and Lighting .

The floor is also relevant to the choice of furniture. White furniture on white tiles can quickly look sterile. Dark flooring on the other hand can stylishly set off white furniture. White furniture also works on a light laminate or parquet: This combination exudes the typical light Scandinavian cheerful look.

Wood on wood? Wood is and remains one of the most beautiful natural materials: wooden furniture smells pleasant, it is timeless and creates a comforting atmosphere. The different woods in a room however really don't have to come from the same type of wood. The whole impression is also decisive here. A light maple table is wonderfully suited to dark parquet: or the other way around. You can take care that the woods have a similar grain or properties to create a consistent impression.

Combine it with colourful furniture and accessories so that the room isn't overloaded with wood. A rustic wooden dining table looks fresh and young with a few modern plastic design chairs.
Dark wood looks good with black and muted tones such as grey, khaki, sand or aubergine. Green and yellow make a room cheerful and blue gives it a fresh feel. You can wonderfully integrate existing furniture into a new room concept in this way. Be brave!

What you should also look for when buying furniture

Which pads are the right ones? You need pads according to the flooring and above all for chairs, armchairs and sofas. Suitable pads for most furniture for example made of felt are stocked in the shop. You can find these directly on the product page. You can also place a repeat order for them if necessary.

How do I care for my furniture? Wooden furniture above all needs special care. We give you tips for this on the product pages. This way you will keep your furniture for a long time.

How far away should furniture be placed from the heating? See that the furniture is about a hands-width away from the heating. That way you are certain that even sensitive materials will stay beautiful for a long time. If you want to hide unsightly radiators with upholstered furniture leave at least 50 cm room. That means that the radiators continue to deliver their best performance.
