Chair with woven seat
Betty TK1 is a stackable chair of & tradition, which is characterized by its simple form and the special details. The chair's seat is made of linen fabric, which normally remains hidden under upholstery. The designers Jakob Thau & Sami Kallio, both skilled carpenters with a master's degree in design, have set themselves the task of creating a seat that fits into every room and is comfortable at the same time.
"The fabric design ensures that the chair is not only lightweight, but also has an airy, almost transparent presence. On the other hand, it is strong and flexible because the tissue adapts to the body." Sami Kallio
The fabric straps made of linen fibres are braided by hand and perfectly adapted to the chair frame. Rounded chair legs and a slightly curved backrest complete the design and ensure a harmonious overall appearance. The chair owes its name to the Betty Nansen Theatre in Copenhagen, a wooden pavilion from 185 7.
The Betty TK1 chair is available from & tradition in various colours, which can also be perfectly combined with each other at the dining table.
