Alvar Aalto unavoidably embossed the image of the Finnish brand Artek with his simple and curved designs, being the co-founder of the company.
Alvar Aalto designed the Nesting Tables 88 in 1935. The name describes side tables that fit inside of each other. The slightly changing width and height of the tables makes it possible to store them without needing much space inside of each other – ready to be expanded when there are more things to be placed on a side table.
The resistant feet of birch wood were formed like an L with a technique developed by Aalto – which is also characteristic for almost all his works.
According to the philosophy of Artek (Art + Technology), the Nesting Tables 88 connect classic design with high functionality. The tables can be delivered alone or in a set with table tops of birch veneer or white laminate.
