Wooden table: Indian & Scandinavian design
The Bowl Table made of mango wood and milled steel tubes by Mater combines the Indian wood turning tradition with the simplicity of Scandinavian design and was designed by the Indian designer Ayush Kasliwal.
Sustainable mango wood
The tabletop consists of mango wood, which is formed by the Kharadi, an old Indian wood turner community, in the correct shape. This way, Mater supports and recognizes that traditional crafts in India. The Indian mango wood is also a sustainable raw material, because as soon as the top of its harvesting life is reached, the tree will be felled and a new tree will be planted in its place.
Legs in steel
The finish used on the tabletop is a lead-free, water-based PU coating. The three legs are made from milled steel tubes which can be removed. Like that the table can be transported easily and space-savingly.
Colours, wood & material
The Bowl Table by Mater is available in four different sizes from small to XL. The three legs of the table are always made of milled steel tubes, regarding the tabletop you can choose between black and sirka grey stained or natural mango wood.
Care
Wipe the surface with a damp, lint-free cloth only. The tables should not be treated with Soap or other cleaning agents.
