Side tables made of pine wood
The Pine series from Normann Copenhagen consists of side tables that are both Scandinavian in their simplicity and expressive in their avant-garde style. The tables are made of solid pine wood, from which the name of the series is derived.
Octagonal base and round table top
A voluminous octagonal foot makes the tables an Pine tables an eye-catcher in any room. The thin, circular table top with its rounded frame contrasts with the base and makes the wooden construction look light. The clearly visible grain of the pine wood also provides an eye-catcher. The unjustly forgotten type of wood receives new attention in this playful composition.
Simon Legald explains why he chose pine for the Pine pine wood for the series:
"Pine wood has long been neglected in furniture design. And that's a shame, because this wood certainly has many good qualities. The fiery grain and unmistakable scent of this type of wood represent Nordic soul and warmth to me. And last but not least, it makes perfect sense to use a material that is available locally in large quantities."
The Pine tables from Normann Copenhagen are available in various sizes and are presented in either natural pine or lacquered, where the grain of the wood shines through the lacquer in a beautiful way.
