Light stool made of corrugated cardboard
The stool Wiggle by Vitra is a typical design object of the architect Frank O. Gehry. Like the wavy Wiggle Side Chair, the eponymous stool is made of light and yet sturdy corrugated cardboard. Thus, the stool is not only a flexible seating that can be is easily adjusted, but also a special design object with natural charm.
Furniture made of cardboard
Gehry got the idea to make seating furniture out of cardboard overlooking his architectural models: "One day I look in my office at a pile of corrugated cardboard, the material I normally used to make architecture models of, and I began to experiment with it, to stick it together and to cut it into shape with a hand saw and a penknife."
Contrary to the slight impression of the stool, it is particularly stable due to its special construction and wavy shape.
