The Veljekset patterns was designed by Maija Louekari for Marimekko to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Finland's independence. The Finnish word Veljekset translates to brothers. The pattern was inspired by Finnish folk tales and depicts animals that live in the forests of Finland.
