Pendant lamp made of filigree wire
The Rituals XL pendant lamp, which was designed by the architects and designers Ludovica + Roberto Palomba for Foscarini, impresses above all with its plasticity. The lights move playfully on the fine line between east and west. The challenge was to translate the lightness of the washi paper of the oriental lanterns into a group of glass lamps.
The Foscarini Rituals collection gets its special style from a special manufacturing technique: the glass is not turned in the mold when blowing ("a fermo" technique). The special striped look is achieved with a special mold with negative decorations that are repeated on the surface. Then the glass is filed by hand and then immersed in an acid bath, which gives it a plaster-like effect.
With its diffuse light, the Rituals XL pendant luminaire is suitable for a wide variety of rooms and reinterprets the magic of rice paper or mulberry tree bark - the raw materials for Japanese luminaires - through the use of blown and satined glass in a physical and precious way. Horizontal lines that run through the surface of the luminaires create a soft and fascinating decor and at the same time help to dampen the intensity of the light source while distributing a full, warm and soft light.
Due to its larger shape, the large Rituals XL shines brighter and wider than its siblings, but without losing any of its airy lightness.

This is how it works: Activate the Bluetooth function on your mobile phone or tablet and download the free Mylight app. The luminaire is automatically recognized by the app so that it can be switched on and off with a click on the device. In addition, it is possible to regulate the color temperature and the brightness in order to always adapt the light to the mood.
