Unique pendant luminaire made of glass bubbles
Air celebrates the imperfect - that charming element that distinguishes the handmade from the factorymade. Inspired by bubbles that have a natural tendency to stick together, the Air pendant luminaire from Frandsen a very own, organic form. The shade consists of two blown opal glass shades of irregular thickness, which are stacked on top of each other seemingly at random.
The design pendant with its unique shape seems to hang almost at an angle, paying tribute to both the harmony and incongruity that characterise the craft. Air is, however, the product of so much experience and meticulousness that the luminaire - despite its somewhat random and "crooked" appearance - hangs perfectly straight.
360° lighting and many possible combinations
The opal white glass in combination with the asymmetrical lines creates a soft, rounded light that fills the entire room and does not just illuminate a single surface. With a light emission of 360° the Air pendant luminaire has the additional effect of making a room appear larger.
Air is available in different sizes and is therefore suitable for many different functions: For example, several pendant luminaires of different sizes can be suspended in a decorative cluster, or the largest can be used alone as a statement piece.
