Description

Brauhaus pendant light

The pendant lamp Splügen Bräu was created in 1961 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for the brewery and restaurant " Splügen Bräu " in Milan. The Castiglioni brothers also designed other objects for the interior of the Splügen Bräu building, built in 1960 and destroyed in 1981, including the well-known "Spluga" (Zanotta) bar stool or the "Splügen" beer glasses (Poretti / Alessi).

Splügen Bräu is a pendant lamp for direct light. The reflector is made of turned aluminum, polished and zapon-lacquered.
The ceiling mount is made of steel and the canopy made of glossy white vacuum ABS (UL-94 HB). The PVC-covered electrical cable has a usable length of 2.20 m. The Splügen Bräu C variant - for high ceilings - has a PVC-covered cable with a useful length of 4m and is also equipped with a counterweight.
