The Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka put all his experience of plastics processing in his first light series for the Italian manufacturer Kartell. The result is a series of beautifully mysterious Planet LED pendant and table lamps in crystal-glass look, refracting the light differently from every angle due to the surface attributes.

magical sparkle

Instead of crystal glass the planet LED lights consist of polycarbonate of various thickness. The complex lamps play with the physical lens effect and create a magical sparkle that wouldn't even be possible with crystal glass.

The Planet LED pendant light by Tokujin Yoshioka for Kartell is made of polycarbonate and available in the colours crystal clear, yellow and grey, and looks especially good above dining tables or hanging freely in the room.
