Description
Lamp with swivelling & dimming Function
The Turn On Table Lamp by Hay lives up to its name: the luminaire body made of opal glass is kept on a cylinder-shaped aluminium base, which also serves as an ON/OFF switch.
The lamp can be switched on by turning the base in a clockwise direction. The main distinguishing feature is a built-in dimmer with intuitive function: further turning ensures additional illumination and allows an individual setting of the light intensity.
Modern Design
The simple and yet memorable design of the Turn On Table Lamp designed by Joel Hoff who was awarded for its design, including the "Hay Talent", as well as the with the "Design of the Year" award by the Design Museum London.
Whereas the spherical diffuser is characterised by soft contours, the base contrasts the sleek look with soft edges which appear in diverse shades due to light and shadow. With these characteristics, the design fits perfectly in the modern and slightly eccentric design language of Hay and enriches every living room by function and aesthetics.
