Bird feed station in silo form
Bird Silo is a modern bird feed station by Studio Tolvanen for Pidät made from 100% recycled plastic.
Bird lovers Mika & Julie Tolvanen, who live in Helsinki, designed Bird Silo, the first product for Pidät . They studied bird eating habits for several years by feeding them prototypes on the window of their dining room (while eating their own breakfast). The size and shape of the bird feeder were specially chosen for small songbirds and woodpeckers who prefer to eat vertically. The bird silo is designed to work like a grain silo. You lift the top cone, pour sunflower seeds or peanuts into it, and the bird feeder fills up from the bottom.
Environmentally friendly made from recycled plastic
In addition to the silo made from recycled plastic, the rope is also 100% recycled. In this way, the bird feed station contributes to a sustainable economy.
The raw material for the polypropylene comes from 100% recycled plastic containers and washing machine parts. The rope consists of 100% recycled plastic bottles made of old plastic and is dyed using an anhydrous dyeing process. Even if the bird feeder station is not a toy, the stainless steel fittings are still certified as "safe for toys". The bird feeder is designed for easy assembly and disassembly. All parts can be separated and reused - the cycle of reuse begins anew.
The recycled bird feeder is delivered in a cardboard box that does not require any glue.
