String System
With String system you can create a variety of wall shelves for any room. What gives the shelves their distinctive character are the side panels. They are elegant and delicate, allowing String to climb up the walls like graceful "ladders". The simple, modernist design made the shelves famous shortly after their introduction in 1949.
In contrast to many other shelving systems, the composition of the individual elements is extremely simple: the lateral, ladder-like struts and the individual shelves form the basis. In addition, the shelf can be supplemented with several other parts, such as a magazine rack, a cabinet with sliding doors or a work surface, turning the shelf into a desk.
