Good Design Award (USA) 2013

The Good Design Award is given to demanding and innovative designs since 1950 every year. This makes the Good Design Award one of the most ancient and traditional design awards of the world.

Organizer and sponsor of the Good Design Award is the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. It is the most prestigious cultural centre of Chicago and the unique museum of its kind in the United States of America. About 3000 competitors of more than 40 nations present their work every year hoping to get one of the desired trophies.

The decisions are made by a jury of manufacturers, international diplomats and professionals of design and arts, deciding about innovation, form, material, construction, concept, function, utility and aesthetical impression of the products.

The winners of the Good Design Award will get the license to use the Good Design logo, which has been created by the American industrial designer Mort Goldsholl in 1950.
