Dietrich Lubs was employed in the Braun Company in the year 1962 becoming the representative design chief later on.
Design plays a great role for Braun. The designs under the lead of Dieter Rams more than everything follows the goal of simplifying the handling of the devices. At the same time the design should have a timeless effect and convince with its reduced forms and economical colour usage.
Lubs designed products such as the hair-dryer "FuturPro" (2002), the alarm clock "AB1" (1987) or the calculator "Control ET 55" that was included in the design collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), all this under the lead of Dieter Rams, for Braun.
