Formfjord

Fabian Baumann and Sönke Hoof founded the product design and development office Formfjord in 2006. Fabian Baumann (*1977) studied Mechanical Engineering at the TU Berlin and Product Design at the TU Delft. After his apprenticeship to become an interior decorator, Sönke Hoof (*1972) studied Product Design at the College of Arts in Berlin and still teaches at different universities today. In their Berlin office, they design products for all areas of daily life commissioned by renowned German and international customers.

"As a team of designers and engineers, it is our aspiration to develop products that work – technologically and ecologically, ergonomically and emotionally, strategically and economically. We pursue this aim by searching for innovation in market gaps and by developing product ideas that suit our partners and the market."
