Leading Architects with Scandinavian Roots
Henning Larsen Architects is a Scandinavian design and architecture firm based in Copenhagen, Oslo, Munich, New York, Riyadh, Hong Kong, Istanbul and the Faroe Islands. The aim of the studio is to create living and sustainable objects that grow beyond their real task and thus have a lasting benefit for users, society and culture.
The company was founded in 1959 by the Danish Architect Henning Larsen. He studied architecture in London and Copenhagen and worked for Arne Jacobsen during his studies. After a study trip to the USA, he and a fellow student set up the design studio Henning Larsen Architects, one of the largest and most renowned architect offices in the world.
Henning Larsen Architects attaches great importance to develop environmentally friendly, energy-efficient solutions. Their projects are characterised by a high degree of social responsibility - not only in relation to material and production, but also in relation to good, social and community based spaces.
