The designer Ragnheiður Ösp Sigurðardóttir was born in Iceland in 1981 and grew up in a small village close to the sea. Shes comes from a musical family and learned to play the piano and the violin at early age. She was going to start a musical career, but her interest in unusual objects had always been stronger.
Sigurðardóttir has always enjoyed the little things in life and sees something good even in a candy wrapper. She collected such small things and formed something new from it. The do-it-yourself spirit is still with her today and she uses it as inspiration to create something special and unique.
After studying at the Iceland Academy of Arts und Cranbrook Academy of Arts, she founded her own studio in Reykjavik, where designs emerge that will be remembered, thanks to their playful and yet characteristic Scandinavian character.
