Sami Kallio was born in Finland and raised in Sweden, and is an award-winning designer living and working in Gothenburg. Kallio specialises in the production of furniture combining traditional craftsmanship and shapes with modern, Scandinavian design.
He concentrates on traditional manufacturing processes for wood-based craftsmanship, such as moulding and woodturning. These are then blended with Scandinavian industrial style, which provides for the exceptional, sophisticated, modern and elegant character of Sami Kallio's designs.
