Thomas Ericksson

Thomas Ericksson is a Swedish designer. His awarded products he designed among others, with great names of the scene such as Cappellini or IKEA. Thomas Ericksson founded his own office named TEA in 1988.

With TEA, Ericksson works at a wide selection of projects in the product design, private and public buildings as well as publicity and industrial design areas. Inside of the offices there are no fixed hierarchies and each project begins with a new team and fresh approaches.

Thomas Ericksson by now has 35 employees at TEA, among them are architects, interior designers, industrial designers, engineers and computer specialists. Ericksson furthermore participated at the foundation of the Stockholm Design Lab in 1998. Both companies work tightly together and fulfill each other.

Ericksson's works were awarded with numerous prices. His medicine cupboard that has the appearance of a red cross which he designed for the Italian company Cappellini is furthermore in the continuous collection of the Mudeum of Modern Art in New York.
