Esbit Products - "Made to Survive"
Esbit, short for "Erich Schumms Brennstoff in Tablettenform" (eng. Erich Schumm's fuel in tablet form), was founded in the 1930s in Hamburg. Today, the family-owned business is being managed by its 3rd generation and still specialises in outdoor products. The pocket stove and the specially-designed dry fuel was created in 1936 and had been used for many years by the German Armed Forces. The compact yet robust stove is still relied on today by the army when camping, and by international rescue organisations.
Since the pocket stove, Esbit has been manufacturing outdoor products that convince with their innovative design and their simplicity. The respect for the customers' needs, as well as high-quality requirements and long-term oriented solutions for the products are the key pillars of the Esbit philosophy. Esbit offers durable and dependable outdoor products that are "Made to survive".
