Since 1999, the company Hey Sign has produced innovations out of felt made in Germany.

Since then, Hey Sign grew to be a globally operating business, which excites people in many European countries, but also in the USA and Japan, with their felt products.

The timeless design under the leadership of the designer Bernadette Ehmanns, the shining colours and the unusual material make Hey Sign products unusual items beyond the mainstream. Regular presentations at fairs like the Ambiente and the Decorate Life in Frankfurt am Main, or the Maison et Objet in Paris are closely observed.

Hey Sign shows how flexible a material felt is and what can be made of it. Once used as craft supplies, nowadays high-quality design objects with a great appearance and outstanding properties can be created.

Hey Sign also makes special overlays for design classics by companies such as Vitra and Fritz Hansen. Several creative architects have also discovered felt as an original and unusual material for themselves.

Because felt is a "renewable" raw material, it features several unique characteristics. It is pervious to air, eudermic, elastic, insulating and because of its natural fat content it is stain-resistant.

All Hey Sign products are handmade in Germany. By now the collection has grown to more than 250 products. It includes individual items such as bags, tableware, interior accessories, carpets, seating furniture and much more, with 36 colours in 2 mm, 3 mm and 5 mm material strength available.

Felt by Hey Sign is made of 100% pure new wool, which is indicated by the famous wool seal. Hey Sign is the first and only felt manufacturer in the history of the famous wool seal whose products were certified according to the strict guidelines of "The Woolmark Company."
