Compasso d'Oro: Alessi twice awarded

Alessi counts to the enforcers of this year's Compasso d'Oro Award. The Italian company was honored with two of the desired awards. The Pasta Pot Set from Patrick Jouin and the dish series Tonale from the designer and architect David Chipperfield are the winners.

The Pasta Pot Set "PJ01" convinced the jury because of the "attention that was given to the harmonic whole image, instead of only concentrating on one element." The dish series Tonale was awarded for its "paintings inspired elegance".

The Compasso d'Oro (Golden compass) was given away for the 22nd time this year. The award is the first one to be offered in Europe and has its origin in the idea of Gio Pontis from 1954. The Compasso d'Oro is awarded triennially. Alessi won nine times including the two awards of this year.

Alessi has more information about the current Compasso d'Oro winners on its homepage as well as about the seven further awarded products from the past decades.

The Pasta Pot Set and the dish series Tonale are available in our Online Shop.
