Peter J. Lassen is a Danish designer and the founder of the Danish design company Montana. Montana's functional and flexible shelving systems in stimulating colours are true classics today.

Before his career in the furniture industry, Lassen worked as an officer at sea until 1954. In 1982 he founded Montana Furniture A/S in Hårby on the Danish island of Funen. His style is influenced by designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Jørn Utzon, Piet Hein and Verner Panton and is characterised by its simple, functional design.
