Moroso furniture – high-class upholstered furniture since 1952
The Italian company Moroso was founded by Agostino Moroso in Udine in 1952. Since his son Roberto Moroso entered the management in 1981 and his daughter Patrizia Moroso became the Art Director, Moroso was transformed from a conventional upholstery maker into a design-oriented company.
Since then, Moroso has complemented classic virtues, such as the quality of material and processing with clean design strategies. This way, a small collection of elegant and exclusive chairs that are characterised by classic and avant-garde shapes have emerged. Suitable for private homes just as well as public spaces. Moroso offers high-quality armchairs, sofas and chairs "Made in Italy", created by renowned international designers.
High-class designers created armchairs and other exclusive seating furniture for Moroso
Famous objects from the Moroso house are for example the furniture collection Dinamic (1986) by Massimo Iosa Ghini, the furniture collection Spring (1991) and Victoria & Albert (2000) by Ron Arad, the armchair Gluon and TV Chair by Marc Newson (both 1993), as well as the sofa system Serpentine (2003) by Tom Dixon, just to name a few. Numerous other renowned designers such as Javier Mariscal, Achille Castiglioni, Patricia Urquiola, Konstantin Grcic or Alfredo Häberli are closely associated with Moroso.
