Acquired a taste for it:
Before, people outside of Italy only knew Parmesan cheese already grated and pre-packaged. Then Pott brought the Parmesan knife Picado to the market in 1992. And it revealed to cheese enthusiasts how good the hard cheese really tastes when it is freshly broken out of the entire piece. Consequently a whole series of practical instruments for cheese lovers was created.
Formado, the classic cheese knife from Pott is thereby the peak of the development. The grip leads the hand and the beautifully swung blade reinforces the lever-effect while you cut and chop hard and soft cheese. With the fork-like point you can directly lay the cheese on the bread or plate.
But Formado can do much more: cut, chop, pick. For example sausage, pizza, herbs, cucumbers.
