Glen Oliver Löw was born in Leverkusen, Germany, on 6 December 1959. In 1985 he completed his studies in industrial design at the University of Wuppertal and moved to Milan, where he graduated with a master's in design from the Domus Academy in 1986. In 1987 Glen Oliver Löw started his collaboration with Antonio Citterio.

In 1990 he became partner in the studio Antonio Citterio & Partners in Milan. In collaboration with Citterio, Glen Oliver Löw developed a number of products for companies such as Ansorg, Flos, Hackman, Iittala, Kartell, Maxdata and Vitra.

In 2000 Glen Oliver Löw was appointed Professor for Product Development and Product Design at the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg and opened his own studio. His customers include companies such as Steelcase, Spittler, Thonet and Villeroy&Boch.

Glen Oliver Löw has received a number of design prizes and awards for his products. For example, the Compasso d'Oro for the Mobil product family for Italian manufacturer Kartell. The Battista folding table and Mobil container are part of the permanent collection at MOMA in New York.The Think Chair for Steelcase was awarded the iF Design Award in 2005 and Red Dot Award, and received the IDEA Gold Award in 2006.
