The Amei company manufactures plant pots out of stonefiber since the year 2007. The Amei plant pots are naturally beautiful and unusually resistant. They consist of the technically most sophisticated connecting material Stonefiber - a mixture of polyester resin and ground stones that reaches an extremely good stability combined with additional fibreglass strength.
On one side, the Amei pots fascinate through their high quality mineral appearance that develops a natural, grey patina after a few months of natural developments, at some models. On the other side, stonefiber is shock and frost resistant. The containers will therefore resist smaller shocks, tilting during storms and overwintering outside.
In direct comparison with stone or ceramic pots, they score because of the low material-thickness with a distinctively reduced weight what makes the handling easier. A light heartedness on terraces, balconies or windowsills begins as well as geometrically transparent forms with Amei – this ensures a piece of happiness for the pot-gardener!
If you use the Amei plant pots outside and leave them unprotected in the rain, please make waterholes in the pot's base with a drilling machine and a common stone driller, if not the collected water logging will create root rot.
