the Cha, which is a kettle and a teapot at the same time. The lid of the Alessi Cha can be easily but firmly inserted into the corpus of the kettle or teapot in order to remain closed while it is used.
The flexible handle of the Cha is fixed at the corpus in such a way that it locks in the vertical position when the object is lifted, making it easier to pour. The handle of Cha is close to the corpus, which means that the multi-functional teapot saves space in storage when it isn't used.
The large integrated filter transforms "Cha" – the name is Japanese for
"tea" – into a refined object to serve drinks.
Thanks to this structural detail, the pot can also be used without filters, with the tea leaves placed directly in the corpus. The seemingly simple shape hides how thoroughly the designer concentrated on the details of his project, which is typical for the expressive purist Naoto Fukasawa: elegant, simple and still well thought out to the tiniest detail. Cha is made of 18/10 stainless steel with a lid knob of thermoplastic resin to protect the hands from heat. The modern teapot has a capacity of 900 ml.The base of the Cha kettle / teapot made of magnet steel is suitable for heat sources of all kinds, including induction stoves.
